Medine Education Village welcomes Professor Bénédicte Fauvarque-Cosson of Universite Pantheon ASSAS (Paris II) for a conference on how to combat climate change with contractual clauses.
As countries work towards new international agreements, the importance of giving legal binding force to voluntary commitments is greater than ever. For companies, the protection of the environment, including mitigating climate change, is not just about supporting UN initiatives. It also consists in engaging into new commitments and complying with these commitments. Charters and contractual clauses enable companies to spread best practices all over the world and make them legally binding both for themselves and their contractors.
